Weekend was hard - not so much for the nicotine but for something to do. No dip then and no dip today! DWLT - Day 18 and NDT! Foodbuzz -23?- getting on 4 hour flight. NDT! Hated to need a chew when I was sick. Bear5 - day 24. Focused and committed. NDT! Supporters: RWM -321- don't need to stuff the face with cancerous poison. STS - 418 - Congrats on two weeks today Bonanza. Used to dip when I was bored just to pass the time away. But hell I used to dip when I wasn't bored. In fact, I used to dip all the time, as I was totally addicted to the shit and a total slave to it. I think that was the worst part about being addicted to dip, is that you have to dip even when you don't want one - like when you're sick or when your gums hurt so bad that the dip stings, but gut through the pain just to feed the beast. I am so fucking done with that. Yea I'm still an addict, but I am sure as hell not using. One day at a a time.

Accountability is key! Quitters - sign here: mcarlson006- Day 28. DWLT - Day 17 and NDT! Agree with STS. I know now that I can't dabble with tobacco ever again. I start out having it, and it ends up having me. No more. Stay strong, stay quit! FoodBuzz -22- Found an old spitter hidden in my closet. No lid just a tall aluminum can, so sadly ended up getting a whiff. Very disgusting! Really don’t know how my wife put up with that shit. NDT! Group name would be great to do, but will have to reject the Pink Pony suggestion lol. My suggestions are SOLID-Q, CLARITY, or I PREVAIL. Anyone else got some ideas? Group April 2018 just doesn’t ring my bell. Bear5 - day 23 Supporters: STS - 417: Hell's Bells, there is a lot of quitting going on. Two weeks of more for Bonanza and DWLT, Three weeks or more for Foodbuzz and Gernjer, and closing in on a month for the MC. It it a true pleasure to fight the good fight with you each day to keep my freedom. I know some people can take or leave tobacco and occasionally use it. I am notone of those people. It sucks, but I am a tobacco addict (I am just not using). One dip = a can a day. It may not happen the first week, but I know for sure that using any amount will lead back to at least a can a day. Earning and keeping your freedom from tobacco is not easy. If fact it is one of the most difficult tasks a human can be asked to do. But one thing is for sure. It can be done!!! Freedom never tasted so good. Let's win the day guys. ODAAT! RWM -320- Time to come up with a group name...let the creative collaboration process being. To stand with tradition, I'm going to suggest the 'Pretty Pink Ponies.' NDT! Gibb13 -354- April18 continues the strong quit. Definitely need a group name. The triple P tradition usually get the minds working. NDT

Wondering how I let myself get here but remain focused on today which is all I can do. Keep fighting the crave gents! FoodBuzz -21 (I think)- Today I choose to make my life better. Very good point MC! I quit with quitters, glad you all are here. DWLT - Day 16 and NDT! Bear5 - day 22.!!! NDT Supporters: STS - 416: I hear ya mc. Most of us get "dip dreams" Some times i am dipping in the dream, other times I am using actual chewing tobacco, and in my last one (just a couple of weeks ago) I was actually smoking something that was a cross between a cigar and a cigarette. Either way, the fact that we are so fucking pissed at ourselves in the dream for using tobacco, and how relieved that we are when we finally wake up and realize that we have not actually used, leads me to believe that we are very committed to stay quit. To me, these "dip dreams" are really God damn nightmares. I think I will not use tobacco today, please join me RWM -319- Keep fighting. I'm going to and I'm going to stay quit today.

Bonanza - Day 12...Happy Friday! Found that I'm starting to be able to whistle better. DWLT - Day 15 - NDT and hang tough everyone in the upcoming weekend! Don't quit quitting dip or you'll have to go through this all over again (or die first). Wish they could bottle up the feeling of the first few days of nicotine addiction withdrawal so people that are beyond the first week or two of quitting could just take a sip to remember what a hellish feeling that is. Unfortunately, pain has a short memory so putting this out there as a reminder just in case any of you are thinking of crawling back with your tail between your legs to the nic bitch, the lip turd, the stained fingers, the sore gums, the guilt, THE LOSER FEELING, etc. Just remember how awful that first few days was compared to how you're feeling now in comparison! BE STRONG! bear5 - day 21. Saying no to the nic bitch today. NDT!!!! Supporters: STS - There are some tough ass quitters in this group. Remember weekend rules apply. There is no caving on a weekend. Hopefully you all (or yall, as we see here in Carolina) have each other's phone numbers so that you can text or call a quit bro or they can contact you if shit gets really bad. Craves come and craves go - freedom lasts a lifetime. NDT ODAAT TGIQ (STS is an A-Hole and a SOB for using so many acronyms) RWM -318- Damn, is it Friday again already?! Time flies. I do not want to repeat the last 318 days. It's been fucking hell. But so worth it. NDT! PMFJ - 166 - Wow, this is a big group compared to what I'm used to. I hope it stays that way! I totally agree with STS, the weekends can be tricky. I tend not to check in on weekends because I'm not sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours. I use it only if I need to. I did get a few phone numbers but I have never felt the need to use them, I guess I'm lucky that way. Just keep your guard up, be ready to handle the craves. Keep it up gents! NDT! And definitely not tomorrow!

Supporters: RWM -317- No dip today. No matter what STS - 414: I said I was going to post this yesterday, but never did. Tobacco is not our friend. It is not anyone's friend , as it has the chemical ability to change our natural human drives and priorities. A normal human should and will crave food, water, sleep, sex, love, affection as these are primal instincts necessary for survival. Nicotine (a poison the tobacco plant uses to keep from being eaten by insects) fucked up our brain's normal sense of basic survival priorities so that getting our fix was the #1 desire/craving. Nic was our brain's one true need, and be damned all the normal needs and desires that would bring a normal person pleasure/joy until getting that fix was satisfied. How fucked up is that, when we would rather put ground up leaves in our mouth's than have a nice meal or have sex? TGIQ!!

April 2018 Quit Smokeless Community ANNOUNCEMENTS 2017 Financial Update 10/08/2017 Please review our Q4 financial update: Roll Call By Ohioman1972, October 25, 2017 in April 2018 Reply to this topic PREV 8 NEXT Page 8 of 8 Bonanza504 1 Posted yesterday at 09:52 AM I'm a fat ass. Have been trying to lose weight lately with some success. Keeping track of calories that I eat helps alot. This led me to the various internet sites where it describes what happens when someone is really sick - the body uses alot of calories to attack whatever is wrong. This is why "unexplained weight loss" is a question that doctors ask. Anyway, I've read that quitting dip adds a few pounds and I thought it was just because you eat instead of chew...wrong. Read in one of the cancer websites that you gain a bit of weight when you quit dipping because the body doesn't have to use calories to fight the toxins that chew puts in your body. Imagine how bad that crap is for you when your body treats it the same as if you put a 6" gash in your arm or break your leg, etc. Anyway, that's my 2 cents for a Monday morning. Chew is bad. It's not a bad thing at all if you can keep weight off by working out and having a sensible diet. But if you gain--you gain. Some have a worse reaction than others. For me the first month or so of quitting tobacco turned me into a pissed off miserable prick (well maybe I always was one and just hid it behind a wall of tobacco), but I did my best to channel that anger into determination and resolve to stay quit. One day at a time. Congrats Bonanza on one week. I am staying quit with you guys. She'll whisper sweet nothings in your ear and the second you let your guard down she'll stick her cock in your ass. That's right. Bet you didn't know she has a cock. She has a big hairy adam's apple too. She ain't as purdy as she seems.

Accountability is key! Quitters - sign here: Gernjer - Day 15 - Hey fellas, another fine day without that shit in my bloodstream. I'm wide awake and pretty pissed at myself for being captive to that poison for 36 years. Now I'm a quitter and I get to keep $2500 per year that I was shelling out on Copenhagen. Thanks for your support, team! Bonanza - 1 week in the books. Even went through a 2 hour ride to work (snow related) today without the crap! mcarlson006- Day 22. Welcome to the suck Bodhi66. Last night was the first time in a very long while whereby I didn't put in a "lucky chew" when cheering for my team. Turns out maybe it was never that lucky given the outcome of the game and past history. One more reason to keep the suck going. Skol Vikings! DoneWithLT - Day 11. I'm not going back to that crap because I don't want to go through the first 10 days of quitting again. Hold strong all and NDT! FoodBuzz -16- Nice work Bonanza! Good to see you MC, SKOL Vikings or any team against the Pats, DWLT nice job hiring double digits! We are missing some people. Probably good idea to pass some numbers for a quick call anytime. NDT!! bear5 - day 17!!! NDT!! Supporters: RWM -314- Good job keeping quit, Bonanza. You also raise a good point about quitting dipping and weight gain. That is some toxic shit! Also, it's told here not to get too upset about weight gain during the early part of the quit. It's not a bad thing at all if you can keep weight off by working out and having a sensible diet. But if you gain--you gain. Some have a worse reaction than others. The benefits of quitting dip vastly outweighs (haha) a few extra pounds of flab around the middle. Quit dip first, and you'll have time to take the weight off. Thanks. NDT!

Day 12 and still no dip for this guy! You guys be strong and make it to Monday! mcarlson006- Day 19 DoneWithLT - Day 8 and feeling pretty good. 40+ year nic addict but committed and not going back. Really glad I found this site a few days after I started my quit. Big help! Don't let the lip turd win today! FoodBuzz - 13 - Pretty sure its 13. Hard to post like want to - early!...damn work gets in the way. Rest assured still very committed!! I believe the 19th is the close date to join this group. Anyone out there reading that’s on the fence about quitting? This looks like a great group!! I’ll be a bit out of pocket next week; on travel for work will post when I can. Moonlighting too; going to meet a quit buddy in the near area. Hope he’s still solid! Pennsylvania’s my next stop anyone near by?...Message me if you want to meet! I think NY is my next trip. I’m done with chew, NDT!!! bear5- day 14. Absolutely not gonna dip today. Supporters: steve50-2614- Look at you MC up and owning this roll call. Nice work sir. Quitting with enthusiasm. Kicking that NicBitch to the curb with April18 today. Tiger - 1816 - If you are looking for a "magic bullet" for quitting dip, stop. Their ain't one. Hard work and dedication to YOURSELF is what will get you through the day quit. Oh yeah, and don't put any cat shit in your pie hole. Also, there is a rule about Fridays, if y'all haven't heard. Anyone care to enlighten these quitters on the Friday rule? 3BD - 1,099 - Woo hoo, one more day to the 11th floor for me! I like the action I'm seeing in this quit group. Let's keep it going. Good job Mcarlson! I forgot the Friday rule - I think it's don't drink anything this early in your quit. STS - 408: I am really liking the energy and commitment of this group. Now I could be wrong, but I don't think so. The Friday rule is: There is no caving on a weekend - period!!! RWM -311- No Cave Friday rule is in effect. That means, under no circumstance, will one of us cave today or during the weekend. Better yet, get in here tomorrow and re-up. Don't do stupid shit. Not telling anyone not to drink, but alcohol is a quit buster. For many, it makes the fore-brain disappear and causes the limbic brain to take over. That's where the dip demon resides. Keep it harnessed and beat it down. NDT!

Quitting dip is difficult as hell and one can get angry and irritable as fu*k at times. Hang in there. Freedom is worth the battle. Tiger - 1815 - Awe shit, the big gun has come out. Having Steve50 in your corner....it ain't even fair to UST. Nah, screw that. UST is run by a bunch of shitheads. NDT with you badasses. Let's just get through the next crave. That's it.

Reminder to myself it's mental.... that and how hard it would be to look at myself in the mirror or tell my kids my only ask of them is do their best if I were to fail. Making promise of NDT. Gents- keep fighting the good fight! redfish - day 1 FoodBuzz - 10 - Nice I’ve got Double D’s. Awww! Keep your minds out of the gutters : ) Double Digits is what I meant Lol! Welcome Redfish! Come on in pull up a chair with people going through the same grind who have the ambition to make life better. I’ll be honest here I loved to chew, what I hated more than anything else is how it impacted my thoughts and attitude on life. Every day I knew I was playing a losing hand, and I just began to quit giving a shit. No vision of future impacted me as a worker, a father, a husband, and my self respect. The result...wide spread negative feelings that affected me and all those around me. I really do hate chew now! I believe what we’ve done doesn’t entirely define who we are; rather it’s what we do today. One day at a time NDT! Bonanza - Day 2 bear5- day 11. Today sucked. And right now sucks too. Gotta keep my head down and plow through the bullshit. NDT!!! And btw, welcome redfish and bonanza. Starting to get crowded in here. I love it. Supporters: Muddler - 3,789 - Welcome to quitting Bonanza. This is your group. Sign in and make magic happen. RWM -308- quitting today but I'm always a dip addict. STS - 405: Really like what I am seeing in here. Posting each day - super important. Reading other's posts and HOF speeches really helped me through the fist month or two. Tobacco was not going to let me out of it's prison without the fight of my life, and I suspect the same is true for most everyone here. I'm with my brother RWM on this one. I will always be a tobacco addict, but I just choose not to use. We do celebrate major mile stones around here - 1 week, double digits, 2 weeks, one month, two months, 100 days (big one), every hundred after that, 1 year (another big one) and so on. However, we all just try to focus on thing, and that is to just worry about today. Just use tobacco today NDT!
