Got some outside time. Had the wifey drop me off at the half marathon turn around point and I ran home. Hopefully I can add more distance on Saturday.

A well spent Mother's Day. Wife was out of town with 3 of the 5 foster girls, so took my daughter and the youngest two foster girls out on the boat. Got my daughter on a King Salmon. Then, after church, did a run from 17 mile in the marathon course to my home. Although it drizzled quite a bit during the run, everything felt pretty good.

Not getting on the site as often. I'm just not all that excited about how I'm running these days. One day I have a good run, the next time I'm out it is a real struggle to keep moving. I know part of the fatigue is from the BP medicine I'm taking. I need to lose weight and I would feel better, running would be easier, and I would be off the BP meds which would make me feel better too. Time to focus and quit with the excuses.

MILES AGAINST DIP

I am still alive brothers! Had a vasectomy at the end of April. Recovery was going well and I started running again after a week. Then I got an infection and it screwed me up bad. I have only hiked three miles in the last week and a half. Slowly improving. I am hoping to get out there soon. I have a damn 100 miler coming up in Sept.!! Damnit!!!

Also, still working 60+ hours a week and it's straight up killing my work life balance.

Whats everyone got planned for memorial weekend?

May 20, 2017 -- This was a training run I did in Ketchikan. I love running in Ketchikan as I get options. This run, however, beat me up. My hips locked up after and the rain soaked my shirt which resulted in the first time I have ever wound up with bleeding nipples.

May 27, 2017 -- Upon my return from Ketchikan, I was thankful I had already had a chiropractor appointment. Turned out my hips had gone out of alignment which put a 2 inch difference in my legs. That was straightened out and a follow up showed I was ok for Saturday's half marathon. The marathon went ok. I got to run with a colleague that barely had any chance to train as well. Despite being 12 minutes slower than my first and only half, I still finished non-stop, and as I neared the final stretches, my colleague yielded to allow me to finish ahead of her as she said "I wouldn't have gotten here if it hadn't been for your support." So, now I am hoping to vary up workout options and start to get ready for next year.

Chill's Miles Against Dip Jog Log

jogger-guy-running-with-sun.gif

Today's MAD: 1.2

Total MAD: 3976.2

Picked my 11 year old girl from school today and when we got home she was like, "What do you wanna do?" Me, "Go for a jog." she lit up and was like, "Yeah, yeah, let's go for a jog!" She had just done the mile a couple weeks ago for the Presidential fitness challenge deal, and finally had a good experience with running. So that is awesome. We're heading out for group "yoga-flow" at the YMCA in a few minutes too. We've both been vegetarian for a year, though there's been a lot of pizzas, pop, shakes, fries, etc. and we're taking it to the next level now and actually eating healthy vegetarian and exercising a lot. Today we decided we'd become health nuts this summer!

Glad your getting a few runs in, but I feel for you in the fatigue department. I know about that all too well. Will be praying they get it figured out for you.

I am alive, still quit and putting in MAD.  This is the busiest I have ever been in my life.  Can't wait until things settle down a bit.  I will be crewing for a friend this weekend at Western States.  Super psyched for that!  I will post up mileage once of these days.

Jeff...those bloody nips...damn!!  I recommend the curad spots.  they work great and never fall off http://curad.com/product/sensitive-skin-spots/

Nothing long but doing some run/walking with the wife.   I was at the beach last week and didn't do much of anything but drink beer.

The doctor put me on some thyroid med and I'm doing Testosterone injections twice a week.   It's been 10 days but I'm going 30 days before they check the blood work again.
