Our medical system in this country sucks!

Ok, so last winter I started having problems with my shoulder. I went to the doc when it finally pulled me out of the pool. Fast forward to May, after a few months of experimental physical therapy, and I decided to have my shoulder scoped.

Mind you, I elected to have this procedure done on the basis that I was only about 80% sure to manage through the pain of swimming. Prolly also about 80% sure I'd destroy my shoulder by using it further.

Ok, so I did the procedure. Turned out to be the right thing and most all of my labrum had been detached. Not good, and I was glad we repaired it. So it's been 2 months of PT post surgery and I'm prolly at about 20%. (note, that's 60% less than I was pre-op). And what do I find now?... my coverage won't sponsor anymore PT.

So WTF? Am I supposed to rehab unsupervised? Am I supposed to self educate and hope that I can make the right decisions? And what if I don't do it right? Am I headed for self induced (non supervised) post op shoulder destruction? WTF... I coulda stayed at the pre op 80% and been in better shape that this?

The thing that pisses me off is that the care potential is out there for us. It's just that the coverage system has degenerated to a for profit, Wall St attitude which leaves us common folk in the lurch.

Awww FUCK!!! Well I don't care what the fuck UHC says.... I'm finding a way to swim 500 pain free, shoulder safe yards by Christmas. And when I do I think I may send em a picture of my ass as I'm peeling it out of my speedo. Fuck them. Fucking bastards.

Ok, move on. Nothing to see here. Rant over.

Back home, team took second 5-4 in eight innings. (regulation game is 7) Son drove in 3 RBI's to tie game in seventh. One too many errors lost the very thrilling contest. Games were played in 100 degree heat, all kids did well considering the conditions.

Alright, I know baseball is still going on but the time has come to start thinking about football. Training camps opened up this past week and preseason games start soon. First regular season game is September 6th.

So that means it is also time to start thinking about Fantasy Football. I have set up a league. I have limited it to 16 teams, first come first serve. Draft will be Sunday night, August 19th. Come and play.
