The wife and I went trap shooting the other day. We go about 4 times a year, but I'd like to go more. Problem is, it's not that enjoyable for my wife because our gun is too big for her. So I'm looking for a new one for her, probably a youth model. Was looking at the Mossberg 500 20 guage bantam. She held it at the store and it seemed comfortable to her. Anyone own one of these or have any other suggestions?
Thanks.
Thought I would post a few thoughts out there for ya. I have a Mossberg 870 (I think that's the model), and I also just starting using a Remington 870 wingmaster. Let me tell ya I like the remington more than the Mossberg. I really like my mossberg, been hunting with it for years. but the Remington is much lighter and easy to handle, not as bulky, maybe. I don't know if thats a good description but I really like the feel of the Remington.
I used to help teach hunters safety with a couple of other guys I used to hunt with, they both would swear by the youth model Remington 870 wingmaster. I guess I would check the Remington youth model 870 20 gauge as well.
I am currently shooting in a Winter 5 stand league, 50 target every weekend for a month or so. Last week we had 15 degrees and 35 mph winds, man that winds just raises hell with the clays, oh well shot a 17, lowest score to date yet..the highest two weekends ago with a 20.
