Hi, I am Scott and I have been chewing Cope snuff for over 22 years. I have tried it all, gum, patches, medication, you name it I have tried. Of course I always say to myself that I am going to do it this time but then I end up giving in to the demons. I somehow need to find the will power to get through it, this time. I have set my date of October 27, 2008, so I have 2 weeks to get myself prepared. I am looking for some suggestions to what I can do during these next 2 weeks to be ready, both mentally and physically. Any and all suggestions are definitely welcomed.

Thanks

If today you stock up on sunflower seeds, sugarless gum, peanuts, beef jerky, toothpicks, a few rubber bands (to place around your wrist to snap whenever a crave hits), coffee stir sticks, and, aslo, throw away all dip TODAY, October 27 will be much more pleasant than waiting until then to begin ridding your system of nicotine.

By the way, why waiting until a Monday - vacation? There's never a perfect time to quit but a Monday is often a BEAR unless you have the day off. Even then, I wouldn't waste a weekend when I could be getting nicotine out of system with minimal stress.

I agree with Euty, the best time t quit is now, all other times, the nic whore will try to make an excuse for you to get you to continue. You have to make the choice and fight through it one minute, one hour, one day at time. If you make one day, you KNOW you can make another. Just keep at it until ...well you just keep at it!
