So, after 2 months, what is everyone's opinion of Obama's job in office?
How has your opinion changed, or what has solidified your original opinion prior to him taking office?

I still think Obama is an excellent orator. Ok, and he still has a nice tan for a half white guy.


Other than that he is doing just what he planned from the get go. Take over financial institutions, take over big business, imposs his will on the country, destroy capitalism (fine, he's still working on this one) and bring America down as a superpower(Lord knows we have to be equal with all the other nations). JMHO

So what has Obama done? Changed politics? More tax evaders than ever given or offered posts. The biggest being a tax evader in charge of the irs !! Brought bipartisanship back to Washington? Hardly. Not long after Obama was elected, Pelosi went back on her vow of bipartisanship saying "I didn't come her to be bipartisan". And Obama said nothing. Obama seems to be a stuck record most of the time..."I inherited this mess..." Perhaps some he did but somewhere along the line he has to step up. How much of your childs future are you willing to let him have? He has already surpassed my limit. Open government was another wasted promise. There has been more backroom deals and bills since Obama came to office than you can count on both hands. Including this massive stealfromus bill. How many, on both sides, read this before voting on it ??? It's business as usual in Washington, only with a liberal left twist this go around.

Liberal on most issues. I am socially liberal. I am more fiscally moderate. I have enjoyed reading and have been influenced by some of our more conservative members' posts. I am not an ideologue. I do admit that after 3 1/2 years, the political threads are the only ones I frequent much any more.

It's not oxymoronic. There IS such a thing as being in the middle. I'm in a similar camp. Though I would go so far as to describe myself as fiscally conservative (which neither party has proven to be the past 8 years) and as socially moderate (ok with gay marriage, abortion, not a big fan of wealth re-distribution, welfare as it is, etc...).

Those of us in the middle are exactly what candidates try to portray themselves as, up until the time they are elected...
