How long does it take for the initial serious cravings to wear off? A week? Two weeks? More? When is the withdrawal over and you crave it, but it's easier to fight off the cravings. Hopefully somebody will get back to me.

It only takes about three days for the nicotine to be out of your system. The cravings are the mental challenge. I am on day 19 and my mind and my jaw keep telling me i need a dip. This is the fight. The first time I quit was Marine Corps boot camp. Unfortunately that was a forced quit, I didn't want to. So the first thing I did upon graduation was head over to the PX a buy a can. All you have to do is take one crave at a time. Practice on various techniques to get you mind off of that want. Eventually you will find one or two things you can do that will trigger a release of that crave.Remember it takes 90 consecutive days to make a habit and 90 consecutive days to break one.Stay strong in your resolve and focus on taking it one day at a time.
