100 days Holy shit I can’t believe I made it this far!! I will start by saying the support here is amazing and I can’t thank you all enough for supporting me during this time. I will be honest it was a tough road my hardest times were around day 55-70. During this times I had some bad craves and they did not seem to want to pass, several times, I found myself in a parking lot of a store asking myself two questions. 1) Do I need a dip and if I needed it meant I was going to die without it. 2) Do I want it and if I wanted it then I am a fool. My brain would always tell me that I needed it or as I know now the nicotine and my addiction was talking. I believe there were 2-4 times during this time frame where I where I was sitting in the parking lot ready to just buy a can and instead I text RWN and started telling him about the craves. Little did he know he talked me out of caving at those very moments because I never told him that I was about ready to crash and burn! I was embarrassed that I even allowed myself to get that close so I just kept it a simple conversation about my craves, length of them so on and so on. RVM would remind me of my addiction and say the things I needed to hear to not cave, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!Then I hit day 70ish and I came to a conclusion that I was romantizing about dip and that was the reason I was having so many craves. At this point when I was able to make it to 70ish, I knew I could make it to 100 and beyond. What am I going to do now? My intentions are to continue to post daily and I am treating day 101 as a day 1 I’m going to do it over again except this time I am going to end at 200 days and then do it all again one day at a time. I am going to pass on getting a coin my reason is simply I don’t feel I need it. I know what I need to do to stay quit and I just need to continue doing it. Biggest thing I need to remember is that I am an addict and I cannot just have one. NEW QUITTERS The minute you say you cannot do this PLEASE realize that that is the Nicotine in your system and your brain is being rewired to a life without nicotine. IT CAN BE DONE I’m PROOF right along with all the other quitters on this site. In closing @RWN Thank you so much for reaching out to me when I did not return after the first time and telling me to get my ass quit again. RESPECTFULLY Killshot P.S. Do not judge my grammar or my writing ability because I know it is horrible and by the way Cheers to day 101.

Still not completely moved into the new house. I've been staying here but my wife has been commuting back and forth and working her butt off when she's here. I got hit with a couple craves today and started making my way to my Costco bag of lifesavers and by the time I got to where they were at I forgot why I was at that place. Either I'm very forgetful or the craves aren't lasting long enough for me to remember. I quit dipping and I don't give a shit what the bitch thinks about it. @rwm3892 my mouth was the same way, toward the end, it was painful for me to put a dip in, I had to find a different spot that didn't hurt. Tried the upper lip trick but that didn't work. I'm quitting because I want to and not because of someone else. I've made myself accountable here, I have announced that I quit to everybody at work and have my "roll call" quit days on the dry erase board in my office and I have told my "suppliers" that I quit and frankly...they're happy about it. I learned a long time ago that you can't quit in private...accountability is the key. As a member of the Freedom Marchers 15 years ago I made myself accountable to my fellow members and didn't want to let them down when a crave hit. If you quit in private...you only let yourself down if you cave. I'm gonna get to the first floor and buy another HOF coin and keep on going. @Tiger Refuge is gonna buy me a "best thong at the bbq pit" button as we move the Dump up to the first floor.

In 40 more days I'll be heading up the stairs to the first floor! And when I do, I'll be doing the happy dance!

I rolled my car end over end and three times sideways, then slid 100 yards upside down, listening to that song at max volume back in 1981. Didn't (want) to total my car, but I lived (need). When I went with my dad to pick up the car from the wrecking yard, he turned the key on and that's the song that was still jammin'. Needless to say he wasn't impressed, and his only words were "Lucky you're not laying in the morgue". That could've killed me much quicker that chew

Well, the activities that are happening in the Dump don't seem to be exciting for many. As the Dump matured, we've been less focused on blow up dolls and gerbils and more focused on other activities. I mean, who doesn't love synchronized bikini beach pole vaulting?? I guess we'll need to tone it down a bit here so tonight we're going to present bikini library book reading...I hope it's enjoyable for all.

I grew up on beef from our own farm (pork and chicken too). We split one once earlier in our marriage but my wife could handle me calling the beef by name every time we ate beef for dinner :). I'm trying to get my HOA to agree to letting people have chickens but I want them for the eggs. If you can't tell, I'm missing the farm life.

I need to take a pause for a moment and get serious here in the Dump. I've been at day 45 before, I've been at day 3550 before and threw it away because of a fucking cigar (and I have never smoked!) I came back to QS because I knew I needed/wanted to quit again and I know what works. I was very active, for a long time. during my first quit with the Freedom Marchers and we had a pretty good membership for that group...most groups back then had a ton of quitters in them. I was surprised to see that I'm in August alone initially but hey, I wanted to quit and August is my group so here I am. Being alone in a group isn't gonna cut it for those quitters who are new here. It's important for new quitters to see the success stories and get the support from the vets that have fought and won but I also think it's important for them to have others with them that are fighting the battle along side with them as they're going. With that said, I just want to say THANK YOU to the vets that have been willing to get dirtied up with me in the Dump. I appreciate that you're taking the time to post here, I find encouragement in seeing your quit days in the hundreds and thousands. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not caving but just wanted to say thanks to yall for hanging out with me here. As an aside, Tiger stopped by the Dump yesterday. We were grilling and he jumped into action when he got the message that we needed more wieners.

Get the Contract to Give Up Print it out and carry it in your wallet Click Here for a room to exchange phone numbers. Accountability is key June 24, 2019 Quitters- Supporters- Nick- 242- Today is day one for this group, who is going to be the first quitter to sign up? Anyone who joins this group will begin a journey to freedom from nicotine. What freedom an I talking about? The freedom from the anxiety of making sure you have enough dip until you go to the store again, the freedom from wasting your money on something that will eventually kill you, the freedom from sneaking a pinch/dip bottle into places where is isn't welcome but you do it anyway because you are weak and think you need that fix. And the list goes on and on. By joining this group you will receive more support that you realize, that support will come from guys that have taken the journey and understand what it feels like and how hard, yet rewarding it is. So again I ask, who's going to post day 1 and promise to not use tobacco today?

It is all in the mind! Coping with nicotine withdrawal is easy; the battle in the mind is not! The truth about nicotine withdrawal is that it is very mild (read this if you wish to find out more) The reason he is feeling cranky is because he still believes that he is 'giving up' on something he thinks is 'enjoyable' and no one likes to deprive himself/herself of something they like. "The mind is its own place and in itself, can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven." - John Milton
