  1. Listen to bufffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff. He is the man and one of the key reasons I finally quit even though it took me two years of caves to do it. But I never gave up and that's in large part to my friends here like Buffff, vader, vike's rule, dave the man, and several others I can not even recall like Capt. Kirk....from way back in the day. My point here is this. You also will establish connections with peoiple who will help you quit even if you struggle and go through a period of caving like I did. You can still quit and be free.
  2. My friends in the political forum. Bastards.

  3. On the bad rep: The 1-2 combo of Fish & Vikes is a tough match up for me. I need bufff's assistance.

Yo GP. I can say with a fair amount of confidence that the only time I messed with your rating was to give you positive feedback. Yeah, you're pretty stupid when it comes to politics, but I like your passion. I'm glad you're here and I'm glad you're still quit.

  4. So in other words, you really wanted to cave so bad that you treated your wife like shit so she'd beg you to go back. It's not the "lesser of all evils", it's a choice. You made a subconscious decision to do whatever you could to get back to dipping and you did that by self destructing and verbally abusing your wife. You just needed to embrace the suck a little more. You were almost through the physical stage and then you gave up. I would agree with most of what you stated. I bought a weekly medical pill container and put my snus inside, thereby limiting myself to no more than three tobacco pouches per day, and using herbal pouches for the remainder of the day. For now, that is the best I can do. You're caving, just calling it by another name. No difference between what you are doing and just having dip/snus all the time. In fact, I'd argue it's even worse. It's the weening off approach. I've seen many variations of this. Some people mix bac off with their dip and change the percentage of bac off to actual tobacco increasing the former and decreasing the latter over time. This is exactly what you are doing. I haven't seen one person do that successfully here. Your approach puts you in a constant state of withdraw because you keep putting nicotine in your system 3 times a day. It puts you in a perpetual state of day 1. You can't quit doing that. You need to just either give up the stuff or quit later when you finally decide to get serious because right now, you aren't.

  12. You can do this bull. You can quit Cope for good. A strategy is a good idea and planning a quit day soon rather than later is also good. I'll expect to see you posting up Day 1 in the December2010/January2011 quit groups. If you need some special help off the boards or via phone, do not hesitate to contact me. GP
  13. Matt Van Wyk. The guy who started it all. All of you owe your quit to him.
  14. I hope you've quit foulmouth. And if you haven't, get your ass in here and quit.

  15. I don't see anything wrong with his HOF Speech. Sure, he made one mention of using Commit lozenges during his quit, but, that doesn't necessarily qualify as spam. He's certainly not offering to sell anything or advertising anything. I don't have a problem with it. If you do, then I suggest you contact him and discuss it with him. You might just be surprised. For the record, I'm the staff member who originally approved the speech. Though I may disagree with a quitter's methods of quitting, once they've reached 100 days without using tobacco, they've earned the right to post a speech in the HOF section. There is no one method of quitting. Each quitter must find the way that works for him or her. And also, I read everything in a speech before I approve it. I saw the reference to the nicotine lozenges, but as Flav has pointed out, he wasn't blatantly trying to sell the product. Trust me, we get a lot of people trying to spam the boards with advertisements for various products, and we try to delete those as soon as we find them. Eutychus has often been helpful in alerting us privately about such spam. In the future, if you have concerns, please feel free to PM one of the staff members and we'll take at look at it. Well..... I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Truckerick line of quit products. Truckerick provides a full line of "Protein Enriched" quit supplements. Smooth and Creamy! All Natural! When you think "QUIT" Think of "Truckerick!" (Truckerick products and the Truckerick@ logo is not endorsed by the management or staff of QSSN. Truckerick is just some asshole that has been quit for a couple of years and thinks he knows everything!) i am a member of the lipwads and his protein products do work I spent .4 hours reading this thread. You all need to pay me for my time I spent reading this thread. Since I had to read all of your posts you should all each have to pay. Please send checks in the amount of $120 for .4 hours of my time to: GP Studios, 1001 Fourth Avenue, Suite 3200, Seattle. You can make the checks out to GP. That's fine. My bank will cash them. .
