  1. Really, posting in general is a shit ton easier than it used to be. All that deciphering code crap is out the window. Just copy and paste like a mug.

    Quitting

Welcome, Drummz! You’ll find a lot of information contained within these pages. Go check out the quitgroups in the “pre hall of Fame” thread. You will be in the June 2019 group. Dont be shy. Read as much as you can. Post up your promise. Keep your word. Interact with the other quitters. DONT DIP! Get ready to embrace the suck.
  3. Welcome Trout! Stick around. We are a bit strange, but we are quitters! Go to the May 2019 group in the pre hof group.
  4. Welcome, Killshot! Glad you are here and sticking with us. I am working on getting some things straightened out/cleaned up in the quit groups...my apologies. I am a hunter as well. I'll check out your post in the leisure time. If you need anything, just holler. I'm not on here as much as I used to be, but I check in almost daily.
  5. Welcome, Jonarobe. If you ain’t dipping, then today is far from your worst day. A day not dipping is better than ANY best day dipping. Period. Post up in the September Pre HOF group, if you haven’t already.
  6. First off, welcome. I’m glad you found us. I hope your cancer scare turns out to be just that...a scare. God knows I went through several of those myself. Stick around. Read the site. There is a ton of info here. Words of wisdom to stay quit? One day(crave) at a time. That’s it. Win that, and you win. Period. If you haven’t do so already, post up in the September Pre HOF group.
  7. To any potential new quitters, please post in the August group until we can work out the kinks and get a new group started. Thanks
  8. Like @rwm3892 said, your brain is literally having to rewrite itself as it erases those nic receptors. That’s some hard ass work for sure! However, idle time is the nic bitch’s playground. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of exercise. In fact, going for a walk could be the best medicine. Go it alone or drag the fam with you. Even if it’s only 15 minutes. Most of the times, that’s all it takes. Great work Redhawk!
  9. That's exactly how this accountability thing works. If you make a promise to something or better yet, someone, to stay quit, there will be many times early on that being beholden to that thing or person, is the only reason we stay quit. After some time, we begin to figure out that the real "normal", doesn't have to involve being a slave to tobacco. Welcome to your new journey. Please, hang out and post roll call every day. The only way that this site works and survives is if people are here posting. Battling. Winning. Sharing.
  10. Congrats bro! That's a hellova win!
  11. Welcome back, brother! Ask, and ye shall receive.
  12. A couple of days late. Sorry about that. Use the cafe to introduce yourself, ask questions, etc. Coffee’s always on.
  13. Huge congrats brother! Great to see ya snooping around.
  14. I'll second that salute by Aug24. Thank you to all the veterans for their service to our country.
  15. Welcome brother! Glad that you found this site and us. You'll have to excuse the mess, we are in a bit of a construction phase as we changed formats a few months ago. You are right, in that this site is a tool to help you in your quit. For me, when I found this place it served as proof that yes, I can quit. If all these other people can win, then why can't I do it too? So, get to reading. There is a shit ton of good stuff on here to read. Get up in your group and post up day one. Once you make that post, your word is your bond. Then, hold on for one of the toughest, wildest rides you've ever had. Is it simple? Yes. Is it easy? Helllllllllllllll no. PS. You are gonna need some off site support, so reach out to others through PM's*cough me cough*. Get some digits. Texting outside of the site will save your quit.
  16. The following was copied from one of our great quit supporters, STS. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any quitter on here to help you out. Wheather it's posting or quitting, we will do what we can. Welcome Quitters! I am glad to stay quit with you today. What has been working for me to post roll is: 1. Do NOT click on the "quote button" 2. Highlight the entire last post starting with " If you quit between 08/22/2017 - 09/21/2017 this is your quit group.." all the way through the last person to post under supporters. 3. Either right click on the highlighted area and click "copy" or press the "Ctrl" key and the letter "C" at the same time. 4. At the bottom of the page (below the fat blue bar with page numbers on it and below the very last post) is a blank box for a new post (says "reply to this topic"). Place cursor in this box and right click "paste" or "ctrl" and "V" at the same time. 5. Go to the middle of your post where it says "quitters" add your name, quit days and comments then click "submit reply".

    Quit yesterday

Welcome brother. First off, my condolences for your family on your wife's diagnosis. Welcome to the suck called quitting. Yes, it sucks. So does being a slave to a can of death. You don't have to be beholden to that crap any more. It's your choice. No one will ever force that crap in your mouth. When I quit, I was using two cans a day as a ninja dipper(hid it from my wife). If I can do it, anyone can. Seriously. Post up in the November 2017 group and pitch a tent. Hang out. The site is a bit of a mess right now, but we are working on it.
  18. Glad you found us, Patricks! How about, throw out that crap and just quit now?
  19. Crap. Okay, I'll check it when I get back to the office. Not sure I can adjust the permission settings.
  20. Euty, I have no clue. Are you posting from a pc or phone? For those that are having issues posting, please post here. Let me know what Trow of platform you are posting from and what the issues are. Im trying... EDITING to Add: I'm using a PC, but I can post to threads in the roll call groups and in the general area. Apparently this section's permissions is set to site moderators and admins. -Euty
  21. Alright y'all. I am doing what I can to help change and link new instructions for posting. I only know what works for me, so if you have something else that you know is easier or works for you, I'm all ears. I will do everything I can to help out. Hit me up in a private message if you need to. Thanks EDITING to Add: Why can't I add a new post in this thread, only edit existing posts? Thanks, Euty
  22. Hey y'all. Please be patient with the new format. We will be working through some kinks in the next week or two. There are some cool things...for instance. If you want to "tag" someone, all you gotta do is type the "@" symbol and it will pull up a list of names. Like @benpitt for instance... Eutychus here: I can't add a comment to this thread, so I'm editing this one. If you need a way to track quit days, you can use this site by entering your quit day. It even provides an estimate of dollars saved. (I've saved over $13k): http://www.quitsmokeless.org/
