My go to thing to do in the evenings after work to avoid focusing on missing chew is to just go to bed for the evening. It's not helpful at this point, as I'm missing out on my family. I need to suck it up and just embrace the suck and go for a walk or something!
I started this a few weeks ago, the week after I started my diet. I have been doing laps at the local YMCA over my lunch hour. I started this as I figured it would be easier on my joints than running or biking or whatever. I didn't realize that it would kick my arse badly, lol. I am sure I will build up stamina as well as learning how to swim again. If anyone else out there is doing swimming for exercise let me know so we can compare notes.
